SEXTUPLETS PORN
PRIZE SOW ON SHIP ONLY THREE SURVIVORS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, March 27. Scxtuplets born to a passenger in the Port Line vessel Samleven when the vessel arrived in Auckland from Canada made front-page news here yesterday. Excitement ran high on the waterfront when the news spread out. The highest blood pressure was recorded by the vessel's Irish bo'sun, Mr. M. McCarthy. whose dramatic responsibility it became to feed the offspring. Three were born first, but they died. Three more were born and Mr. McCarthy, with the luck of the Irish, found a desperately needed milk bottle with a rubber teat, with which he brought succour to the remaining three.
The mother, who is also doing well, is the Berkshire prize sow Sunny Lodge Gem, who came aboard at Halifax en route to a farm at Palmerston North. The crew had nc knowledge of her condition.
Bo'sun McCarthy is the proudest foster-father in New Zealand. "Begorrah, it's fine pigs they are!." lie told visitors yesterday.
