ANNUAL MATCH

RIVAL HIGH SCHOOLS GISBORNE V. NAPIER The annual cricket match between the Napier Boys’ High School and the Gisborne High School is to be played at the Hawke’s Bay centre on Thursday and Friday of this week. The representatives of the Gisborne High School are to travel to Napier by rail car to-morrow, taking with them the Cricket Challenge Cup presented by the Napier High School Board of Governors. The local first eleven won the cup on their home ground last year. Mr. J. R. Sheffield, who has been playing as a member of the team in most of the Saturday competition games this season, will travel with the team as manager. The personel of the team is as follows: —W. Bignell (captain), M. Dunphy (vice-captain), K. Sewell, R. Shields, T, Nikora, F. Jones, .T. Riley, A. Thorpe, R. Preston, G. McGregor, A. Mackie, B. Woods. The team will return by train on Friday evening.
