“Wartime Londoners truly stood in Ihe front line against Fascist Germany and Soviet citizens will never forget their heroic conduct during those terrible days,” said Mr. N. P. Bazhan, a member of the Soviet delegation visiting Britain when the London County Council entertained (he delegates at a luncheon at County Hall, Westminster. M Bazhan added: “I am also "sure that the memory will never be deleted from British minds of the terrible struggle the Soviet people endured against Hitlerite Germany.’’
