RIFLE PRACTICE MATCH hne scores returned Conditions were almost perfect nroughout the afternoon, and several line scores were recorded by members of the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club, when a practise shoot was held on the Sponge Bay range on Saturday. Several leading members of the cmb, R. O. Bull. R. Bursen. W. J. Burton, F. J. Jeune and C. Lloyd, are at present attending the New Zealand _ rifle championships at. Trentham, and it was therefore decided that Saturday s match should only be a practise one of 10 rounds at 200yds and 300yds. At the first range W. Lundun topped the list with a score of 48. He was closely followed by J. K. Aitken with 47 and G. Jeune with 46. Lundun also recorded 48 at the 300vds range to win from J. K. Aitken and P. Foss, both of whom scored 46. Scores were.—L.
