STATEMENT OF CLAIM

NEW DELHI. Jan. 29. A general conference of Indian princes, after hearing the recommendations of the advisory committee, agreed to state the emphatic claim that paramountcy must remain with the States and not with the future Government of India. The princes decided to leave a standing committee to watch dcyelopments, particularly a reported claim by Congress that sovereignty must be vested in the people, not in the princes.
