DOUBLED TO £20,000,000 PURPOSES ENUMERATED (11.10 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 29. The capital of the British Overseas Airways Corporation has been doubled to £20,000,000 by the issue to the national debt, commissioners of £lO,000,000 21 per cent stock, redeemable in 1977-82, at the price of £lOl 10s. The purpose of the additional capital is to repay temporary bank advances, acquire additional aircraft and other assets and provide further working capital.
