WILL ENTER TALKS

BRITISH HEALTH SCHEME DECISION BY DOCTORS LONDON, Jan. 28. The British Medical Association at a meeting to-day by 252 votes to 17 accepted the B.M.A. council's advice and decided to enter discussions with the Minister of Health. Mr. Aneurin Bevan, on the National Health Service Act. _ It also decided that after the discussions a plebiscite of the profession be held on the question of entering the civil service. The council had recommended entering the discussions in view of Mr, Bevan’s promise recently to the presidents of the Royal Colleges that he was preapred to discuss with the association the matters in dispute. The meeting’s vote reverses the plebiscite decision last month when 56 per cent of the 81 per cent of civilian doctors who participated voted against the negotiations.
