CROQUET TOURNAMENT

COX CUP SERIES The annual tournament of the Poverty Bay Croquet Association for the Cox Cup opened on Monday on the municipal lawns with a large attendance of players and spectators. _ Entries were received from Napier, Te Aroha. Paeroa and Hamilton, as well as from the district clubs. Mrs Donnelly, president of the association welcomed the visitors and wished all players good_ games and a happy time before declaring the tournament open.
