TE KARAKA CLUB

REPRESENTATIVES CHOSEN Many interesting and closely-con-ested games have been played bv members of the Te Karaka Bowling Club to select representatives for the champion of champions intermediate and junior singles. The general standard has been very high and the finalists to represent the club are: Senior: H. Lougher. Intermediate: P. Clayden. Junior: J. W. Wilson.

The club pairs competition is also drawing to a close and should be completed during the next week-end. Following this, the club fours will be played, fiive teams competing in this event.

Country Cup:—The annual match for the Country Cup will be played at Te Karaka bv representatives of Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Company, and the Te Karaka Bowling Club on February 5. commencing at 1-15 p.m. under floodlight conditions. The cup has been held by Te Karaka for the past three years and a strong effort to gain it is being made by the visiting bowlers comprising three teams. The club will welcome the attendance of interested spectators.
