WIN FOR COLTS

RABONE’S CENTURY

OPPONENTS HOLD OUT

HANSEN’S FINE FINISH

Poverty Bay Colts had a first innings win over the Senior B representatives in a one-day cricket fixture at the Oval yesterday, they were* just able to stave of! an outright win with a reliable tailender.

In the second innings of the Senior B the first six wickets tell cheaply. There were only 17 runs on the board when B. Hansen took the wicket. He opened his shoulders and was undefeated at 35 runs after punishing the bowling found too difficult by his team mates. His score consisted of two sixes and five fours. The bowling honours were with the Colts, and were shared by H. Lee with four wickets for eight runs in the first innings and two for 13 in the second, and L. Roderick, who took three at a cost of 23 runs. Scores: — P.B. COLTS.—First Innings N. Balfour, c ,T. Stokes, b R. Field .. 0 H. Lee, c Field, b Swan 1-1 J. Allen, b Field 7 L. Roderick, cC. Swan, bB.
