ONE-STATE IDEAL
MOSLEM DIFFICULTY
CONGRESS PARTY VIEW
REACTION TO BOYCOTT NEW DELHI, 26. Mr. Rajagopalackari, Industries and Supplies member of the Interim Government, who is a leading member of the Congress Party, urged the Indian Constituent Assembly to give the Moslem League ample time to reconsider the boycott of the Assembly. “The greatest difficulty for the Moslem League is it has to join the Assembly on the explicit condition that it must accept the single sovereign State ideal for India. That is why it is finding it difficult to participate,” he declared.
The Assembly elected Dr. H. C. Mockerjee, an Indian Christian representative from Bengal, as vice-presi-dent. The Assembly adjourned until April.
The Exchange-Telegraph correspondent says the Assembly is beginning to feel, the lack of opposition. Members were apathetic at the final meeting.
