BID FOR MIGRANTS

AUSTRALIAN MEASURES DUTCH AND GERMANS (9 a.m.) CANBERRA. Dec. 21. The Commonwealth Cabinet has approved two measures designed to increase migration to Australia. The Australian Minister at The Hague, Mr. K. Officer, has been authorised to sign a migration agreement with the Netherlands Immigration Foundation. Landing money conditions would be waived if advisable. This almost concludes seven years negotiations for the introduction of Dutch migrants into Australia. A scheme to bring out German scientists and technicians was also approved. The scientists will be employed on a number of projects, including the extraction of oil from coal, and will be controlled by a number of security and qualification provisions.
