GOOD SCORING
RIFLE COMPETITION" CLASSIFICATION MATCH The weekly competition shoot and th« annual classification practice were conducted on the Sponge Bay range on Saturday afternoon by the Gisborne Defence Club. The competition match was held over 200 and 300yds distances, 10 shots counting at each range. F. J. Jeune from scratch l'egistered 49 at each range to fill first place in the match, while P. Dolman secured a similar gross score to take second place. C. Lloyd was third with a gross score of 97 out of the possible 100. Borne excellent scores were registered in the annual classification practice. The match comprised five shots application, five shots snap. 10 shots rapid at 200yds and five shots application at 300yds., with a total possible score of 10.1. W. J. Burton secured the possible to take first place, while F. J. Jeune dropped one point at the 300 yd. range to score KM. Three other marksmen. G. A. Revel!, H. Ties and R. O.
