PRIVATE OWNERSHIP (P.A.) . WELLINGTON, Dec. 5. “I would be inclined to agree with Sir Michael Myers that some alteration and improvement, in the existing conditions in the licensed trade generally is required,” said the general secretary of (he licensed trade, Mr. Percy Coyle, yesterday.
“The poll was. however, an endorsement of the present system, though not, of course, in detail,” continued Mr. Coyle. “It AA'as certainly not approval of an entirely new system which involved State control, though not perhaps State ownership.”
