“Grand Fathers"
Two English brides of New Zealand servicemen were discussing their experiences of managing their babies in the face of inadequate facilities during the voyage to New Zealand. Said one: “New Zealand boys are grand fathers. It was lovely the way they took charge of the babies, changed them, and laundered the napkins. I couldn't imagine English fathers doing that.”
