MAGISTRATE’S COURT Described as an unlicensed driver of an unlicensed lorry, without a current certificate of fitness lor his vehicle, James Alfred Lucas appeared yesterday in the Magistrate’s Court before Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., on two charges preferred against him by tiro Transport Department's inspector, Mr. R. Metcalfe. Lucas pleaded guilty and was lined 10s and costs 12s for having no current warrant of fitness for his vehicle and ,U 1 and costs 12s for driving an unlicensed vehicle. Other prosecutions conducted by Mr. Metcalfe were:-*-Nora Dibbern was fined £1 and costs 10s for failing to dip her headlights to approaching trnflic in Ormond road. Arlluir Olayden was fined £2 and costs 10s for carrying a load of posts in excess of his heavy traffic licence on the main highway near Ormond. .
