SJAHRIR GOVERNMENT RESUMPTION OF TALKS (10 a.m.) BATAVIA, Sept. 22, It is reliably learned, says the Associated Press correspondent, that the Dutch commission has informally notified the Indonesian republican authorities that it is willing to recognise the de facto authority of the Sjahrir Government over Java and Sumatra.
The British envoy, Lord Killearn, has arrived by air from Singapore. Reuter’s correspondent says it is reported that the Lieutenant-Governor, Dr. Van Mook, is inviting Lord Killearn to act as mediator for the DutchIndonesian talks
