ATOM POWER CONTROL

O’HOUSE AMENDS U.S. BILL (10 a.m.) WASHINGTON. July 21. The House of Representatives, after five days’ debate, passed the Atomic Energy Control Bill, amending ■ the measure previously passed by the Senate. The main amendments provide for military representation on the proposed control commission and the death penalty for serious security violations. They will also enable the Army to produce atomic weapons. The Senate Bill provided for five members of a civilian commission. The measure now goes to a conference of the Senate and House for adjustment of the differences between the two chambers.
