DETENTION OF JEWS APPROACH TO BEVIN (9 a.m.) WASHINGTON. April 14. Professor Harold Laski. who has been visiting Spezia since April 10, promised
the detained Jews that he would take up their case with Mr. Bevin. - As a result the hunger-strikers agreed to give up their strike, says Reuter’s Rome correspondent.
