ALL HOME SOON

AUSTRALIAN TROOPS CANBERRA, April 13. All the Australian troops, with the exception of the Japan occupation force and 4370 men to be retained as island garrisons, will be home by the end of this year. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. B. Chifiey. said this had been made possible by General MacArthur’s trebling the shipping space for repatriating Japanese prisoners. All the Japanese prisoners will have been sent homo from the islands north of Australia by next August.
