ALACRITY DELAYED
VISIT TO GISBORNE ARRIVAL ON WEDNESDAY The sloop Alacrity, which was to have arrived at Gisborne this morning from Auckland, has been delayed unavoidably in the northern port and will not now visit Gisborne until Wednesday. Advice to this effect was received yesterday afternoon by the town clerk, Mr. W. M. Jenkins. The commander of the vessel expressed regret at being unable to adhere to the original timetable. The time of arrival on Wednesday is not yet known in Gisborne, but a further communication giving this information is expected this evening. The Gisborne Boxing Association has postponed the tournament scheduled for this evening, and will stage the attraction on Wednesday.
