OLD TRAINER DEAD

MR. HARRY CUTTS TENDED CLIFFORD HORSES (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 15. Mr. Harry Cults, the well-known Riccavton trainer, died on Saturday morning, aged 68 years. He was the eldest soil of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cults. Mr. Harry Cults had been associated with his brother, Mr. Albert Cults, in tile training of the Clifford horses. During the past. 26 years they had trained horses for throe generations of tile Clifford family—the late Sir George Clifford, the late Sir Charles Clifford and the present owner of Stoiiyhurst, Mr. .1. It. DouglasClin'ord. grandson of Sir George. Mr. Hurry Cults looked after the business side of the partnership and the travelling of the horses, their actual preparation being supervised by iiis brother. A good shot. Mr. Harry Culls competed with considerable success in pigeon shooting competitions ill various parts of New Zealand in his younger days and was also a keen amateur photographer. He had been, in indifferent health for the past three years and some weeks ago entered hospital. He is survived by one son, Mr. George Cutts, who recently returned from overseas service, n sister, Mrs. A. Dickson, and his brother, Mr. Albert Cutts.
