ECONOMIC CONTROLS
AUSTRALIAN STATES SYDNEY, April 4. Both Victoria and New South Wales propose to introduce legislation to continue certain economic controls after the National Security Act expires on December 31. Mr W. J. McKell, Premier of New South Wales, said that such controls as were obviously in the public interest would be continued by the New South Wales Government, which would cooperate with, the Commonwealth to protect the public. The State had power to control prices.
