Majestic.—‘‘Elizabeth and Essex,” the outstanding Technicolour production starring Bette Davis and Errol Flynn concludes tonight. To-morrow’s double-feature programme will be headed by the powerful mystery story, “The Man front Half Moon Street,” one of the weirdest love stories ever brought to the screen. The associate feature, ‘‘Million Dollar Kid,” is a rollicking comedy-drama featuring the “Eise Side Kids.” who were formerly known as the “Dead End Kids. The serial, ‘‘Secret Code,” opens the sessions at 1.45 and 7.30.
Kins's. —A strand laughter programme commences at the King's Theatre to-day with Arthur Aflkey. Britain’s No. 1 comedian m another of his side-splitting comedies “Backroom Boy.” which has its story set in a lonely lighthouse where anything is likely to happen—and docs. The associate feature is another side-splitter with Tommy Handley handing out the laughs in "Time Flies.” a gay sparkling story that will sviit all who enjoy a really good laugh.
Regent.—The hilarious English comedy picture “Demobbed” concludes its season to-mor-row. Most people want something to make them laugh and feel jolly, and in this Demobbed” will fill it.es appointed task. The picture deals with theh screamingly funny exploits of three British soldiers after being demobilised : how they again make contact with their beloved (?) sergeant, and vise to dizzy heights in the world of commerce through discovering that the firm which employs them (in a weak moment) is being robbed by a high-punting manager.
