CRICKET-LAW CHANGES
TRANSVAAL PROPOSALS JOHANNESBURG. March 1. The Transvan I Cricket Union has proposed amendments to the laws of cricket in response to the M.C.C.’s invitation to comment on it 3 recommendations. Transvaal suggests, first, that rule IS be altered to provide for the starting of an over if there is time before the stumps are drawn and for the completing of that over irrespective of whether a wicket falls; secondly, an alteration to Law 31 to put a batsman out only if the bails fall to the ground, and also, thirdly, the application of the present l.b.w. rule lie extended to matting wickets which arc still largely used throughout South Attica.
