SOVIET SATISFACTION
FIRST SESSION OF UNO
LONDON, Feb. 18
"The decisions of the first session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, in those cases where all the dclegats proceeded not from narrow interests but from the interests or general peace and democracy were unanimous and have been received with immense satisfaction by the, people of the entire world,” said the Moscow radio commentator.
"The world press has emphasised the consistency of the policy followed by the Soviet delegates. Some foreign observers and press organs, searching for sensations, are striving to represent as British-Soviet duels the disputes and speeches on points of principle of the Soviet delegation which took place at the sessions of Ihe Security Council and Assembly. They have tried to compare the sessions with a football match, writing about the victories and defeats of one delegation or the other. "It is now clear to all objective persons that the line of principle taken by the Soviet delegation is directed towards the defence of peace and security in the interests of the people and of the cause of democracy.”
