BIG CUTS IN BUDGET
FRANCE’S MILITARY BILL (9.30 a.m.l LONDON, Feb. 12. After a five hours’ meeting, the French National Defence Council decided to reduce the military budget by £120,000,000 to £208,000,000, and also agreed to reduce the army, navy and air force estimates gradually to figures approximating those fixed by the Minister of Finance, namely £400,000 for the army, £45,000 for the navy, and £50,000 for the air force.
