France would continue to give protection and asylum to refugee Republicans and follow up international conversations in which France had asked Britain and America jointly to discuss the state of their relations with Spain. , The President said the Government was immediately inaugurating a massive programme of reduction of civil ‘md military expenses, freezing oi salaries and increased nationaHsation measures which would affect bank , mines, insurance companies, electricity and gas undertakings, and part of the merchant navy. , France would continue to the internationalisation of the Kum and the prevention of the reconstitution of a centralised Germany.
