CEMENT MANUFACTURE - C. FOULWIND PROPOSAL ; (P.A.) WESTPORT, Jan. 30.' Steps are being taken for the foimation of a company with an authorised, capital of £750,000 to manufacture cement at Cape Foulwind. It is contended by the promoter, Mr.. A. Drew Morrison.a financial broker of Wellington, that Westport is suited to, be the principal centre for the supply of cement for the whole of the Do-, minion. Rich deposits of marl clay and limestone at Cape Foulwind are stated to be sufficient for 100 years’ operations. It is estimated to be of a quality no.t excelled anywhere in the world. Mr. Morrison stated that all arrange-., ments had been made to secure licenses from the Government to manufacture and to import plant. . A prospectus is to be issued shortly - through the Stock Exchange.
