J. M. Gilis, United, who holds one life in the singles, skipped a rink which beat IV. Hinton, Alexandra, by 28 —22, and D. Vaughan, Caledonian, and T. W. Gee, Hamilton, scored runaway victories from D. G. Munro, Thorndon, and A. V. Iveast, To Rangi. , Vaughan won 32 —8 and Geo 22—8. A previous winner of the fours, E. Livingstone, Onohunga, scored 28 to 17 against R. E. Austin, Cromwell, and T. Fox, Christchurch, who has -been playing consistently, was never in danger of defeat when he finished up with a 27 —7 margin over W. Spurdlc, Inglewood.

Walker’s Gisborne team was eliminated in the final section round. Crowley, Tolaga Bay, qualified for post-section play, but lost his first gnmo in this yesterday, remaining in with one life. —S.R.
