URBAN DEVELOPMENT “RIBBON” GROWTH FEARS The Cook County Council to-day appointed a sub-committee consisting of the chairman, Mr. E. 11. Baker, and Messrs. F S. Bowen, M. L. Holden and J. T. Gordon to collaborate with the Gisborne Borough Council’s'town planning committee regarding the development of the urban area. Mr. Baker said the discussion would be with a view to preventing “ribbon” development and the high cost of servicing such areas.
