CROSSING COLLISION

THREE PERSONS INJURED PALMERSTON N., Dec. 26. Three persons were injured when tire motor car in which they were travelling collided with the Palmerston NorthWoodville railcar at the Woodville level crossing at 12.10 a.m. on Christmas Eve. They were: Amelia Sargent, of Dannevirke, who was admitted to the Dannevirke Public Hospital suffering from shock. Rodney Sargent, aged 14. who was admitted to the Dannevirke Hospital with concussion and cuts on the head. Mr. E. S. Sargent, who was treated at the hospital for scalp wounds. ) Mr. Sargent was driving the car and was accompanied by his son Rodney and his sister. The railcar was just completing its journey from Palmerston North when the accident happened. It was damaged to such an extent that it had to be taken out of commission for-re-pairs. No one in the railcar was hurt.
