NONE DUG-IN

LOCAL CABBAGES "There have been definitely no cabbages dug-in in this district and all the crops crown here went on to the market,” stated the district manager of the Gisborne branch of the Internal Marketing Division, today. All the cabbages grown In this district have been cut and supplies are being brought in from outside centres to relieve the pressure there, notably in Hawke’s Bay, where some crops are being dug in. Beetroot grown locally is coming to hand in large quantities and it is expected, from present indications, that the yield will be too heavy for the local market to absorb all that is grown in the district.
