IRISH WRITER’S ASSERTION EIRE NEUTRALITY UPHELD (9 a.m.) LONDON. Oct. 23. It is officially stated tiiat the Prime Minister, Mr. C. R. Attlee, denied the remarks regarding Eire's neutrality attributed to him in a conversation with Sir Shane Leslie, the Irish author, <■ Sir Shane Leslie told the Exchange Telegraph correspondent at Cork that he had an informal talk with Mr. Attlee recently and was struck by his attitude towards Irish affairs. “I said to him: ‘I believe that Eire’s neutrality rather disturbed you?’ He replied: ‘Not at all.
