SOLDIER KILLED
A soldier was killed when the car in which he was a passenger hit a pylon in Customhouse quay, Wellington, at 2 :>.m. on Monday. He was:— Lanec-Bombardicr Desmond M. Boltons, 8 Norton terrace, Kilbirnie. The driver of the car. Mr. L. Paul, chemist, of 49 Hohiria road. Hataitai, received abrasions to the face and concussion. Lance-Bombardier Bollons was a son of the late Captain John Bollons, well known in New Zealand as a master mariner in the Government marine service and former master of the Tutane.kai .
