BERLIN MAYOR CHARGED

(10 a-m.) BERLIN, Sept. 27. Frederick Bachman, burgomaster of Berlin’s Tiergarten area, appeared before an Allied military court on 11 charges, including disobedience of Military Government orders, being in possession of counterfeit money, embezzlement, stealing, corruption, and also the acceptance of bribes. The prosecuting officer said that further charges would be made including misapplication of large sums of money entrusted to the accused for the benefit ol the people of Tiergarten. The court adjourned to October 22 to give the defence time to secure the testimony of a Russian officer.
