RIFLE SHOOTING

TROPHY FINALS TWO POSSIBLES SCORED Members of the Gisborne Miniature Rifle Club completed the final round of the Nb. 5 Trophies on Saturday evening, when there was a good attendance at the range. A very high standard of scoring was produced by all sections of the membership and good targets were numerous. In the A Grade F. J. Jeune registered the possible and won the trophy by a decisive margin. The feature of the B Grade results was the splendid performance by P. Foss, who recorded a fine possible. The trophy went to K. Harrison by a small margin from J. Sutcliffe. J. Stokes was responsible for a good target of 99 in the C Grade, the trophy being won from him by B. Atteweli. In the Women's Section Mm. Doimnn put the issue beyond doubt with n score of 09, which won both the ladder badge and the trophy. The New Zealand championships (postal match) will be commenced at the club’s range to-day.: During the week the first round of the No. 7 trophies in the archery series was completed when W. J. Burton, 395, and Mrs. Williams, 289, were the highest section scorers. Scores:
