Chiflcy, in n short-wave broadcast, invited American and British capital \ to establish industries in Australia. “We have a place here for new industries and for the expansion of existing industries,” he said. “British and American capital can look to Australia for a great many things of advantage to themselves and to our country. Development and expansion. have barely begun here. The oppor-1 tunities to help us to do those things | are here, but we will not tolerate j exploitation. Australians have great I faith in their future greatness as a nation. We look to the world to help us and we will do our share in helping the world. We offer opportunities for good types of men and women to find a home in our midst.”
