EVACUATION ALLOWED
JAPANESE CASUALTIES. WAKE ISLAND GARRISON (11 a.m.) GUAM, July G. Admiral Nimilz announced that the United States Navy had permitted a Japanese hospital ship to evacuate 974 men from the enemy garrison on Wake Island. Fifteen per cent of them were tubercular and 14 per cent wounded. The remainder were suffering from malnutrition.
