CROSS-COUNTRY TITLES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July <1 The management committee of the Nev Zealand Amateur Athletic Association yesterday decided to leave to the administratioi committed the fixing of the date for tin national cross-country championship at Dun eilin tins year. The committee at a previ ms meeting had fixed the date as Augusi 25, hut a protest was received from the Gan terbury centre that the association’s rules laid down that cross-country championship: must not be held later than the third Saturday in August. Green and white were fixed as the colours for the 1945-40 season.

The following records have been passed:A. R. P. Eustace, October 26, for Die 22i. yds. junior hurdles at Eden Park, Auckland, on April 14, 1945 (a New Zealand record) ; J. G. S. Myles, lOJsec., for the junior 100yds., at Eden Park, Auckland, on April 14. 1945 (equals the New Zealand record). Tho New Zealand Amateur Cycling A; soeiation wrote thanking the N.Z.A.A.A. fo the help it had given to amateur cycling through the year, particularly by the inclusion of cycling events on their programmes
