WOMAN SHOT IN THIGH

HUSBAND' ARRESTED (P.A.) DUNEDIN. July 3. In the Police Court this morning Percy James Cuff, aged 38, described as a seaman-labourer, Cargill street, was charged with the attempted murder of Irene Margaret Cuff, his wife. The police stated that the accused was arrested just before midnight following a shooting incident earlier in which his wife, from whom he was separated, was shot in the thigh at her home in Grosvenor street. She was in hospital and her condition was satisfactory.

The accused was remanded until Monday next.
