At a recent meeting of the Gisborne branch of the New Zealand Society for Closer Relations with Russia, a report of subscribers to the “Seeds For Russia” campaign was'submitted. The report indicated that the following had made donations: Gisborne branch Carpenters' Union, £5; Gisborne Trades Council. £5; Gisborne branch Labour Party, £5; Mr. G. D. Muirhead, £10; Mr. Ed. Lindley, 10s; Gisborne branch Painters’ Union £1 Is; Gisborne Shop Assistants’ Union. £1 Is; Gisborne L.R.C.. £5; Gisborne branch Bakers and Pastrycooks Union. 10s: Mr. Sherlock. 10s; Mr. Sharpies, ss; Gisborne branch Labourers' Union, £1; Gisborne branch Drivers’ Umon. £1: Gisborne branch Furniture Union 10s (id: Gisborne branch Dairy workers’ Union, £1 Is: N.Z.W.W.. Kiatawa branch. £2l; Gisborne branch Communist Party, £1 12s Od; Gisborne branch Engineers' Union, £1; total, £Ol Is.
