LABOUR CAUCUS
PREMIER’S WORK PRAISED (P.A.) WELLiNGTON, Jiihe 27.
A . caucus of the Parliamentary Labour Party was held yesterday. The acting Prime Minister, the Hon. W. Nash, presided. Resolutions were passed expressing sympathy-with Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, the member for Waitomo, in the death of his wife, with Mr. P. jNeilson, Dunedin Central, in the death of his wife, with Mrs. J. W- Munro in the death of her husband, Mr. J. W. Munro, Duhedin North, ahid with ‘Mrs. Findlay in the death of Mr. F. Findlay. who was the meihber for Hamilton. ■ '
Reference Was also made to Government members at present- on the sick Hon. P. G. Webb,.Minister of Mines, .and Messrs. R. Coulter, Raglan, C. H. Chapman,. .Wellington North, and Mr. T. P. Paikea, Northern Maori. Good wishes were extended to them and the hope was expressed (hat they would soon recover their health and be back again in their places in the House. ; Mr. Nash also stated that •’the caucus had expressed pride in the great work done by .the (Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, at the United Nations conference in San Francisco on behalf of all the peace-loving nations and, in' particular, as the representative of New Zealand. A resolution embodying these sentiments was adopted. The caucus adjourned until to-day.
