NEW BALLOT LIST 18-YEAR-OLDS CALLED
MANY DISTRICT YOUTHS (P.A.) . WELLINGTON, May 23. A total of 5908. men, a majority of whom are in the 18-year-old class, are called up in the No. 24 ballot, schedules of which are published in a Gazette Extraordinary issued to-day. The No. 7 Military Area, comprising Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne-East Coast, contributes a total of 453 men, the fifth largest group of the 12 military areas of the Dominion.
