JOCKEY LOSES APPEAL
' P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 2G. The appeal of the jockey W. Jlooton was heard' in Wellington on Tuesday by the UacConference appeal judges and was dismissed. The judges ordered that Hooton’s deposit of £2O be forfeited. At the Te Arnroa Jockey Club’s meeting on February 2 1 Hooton was disqualified for one year on a charge of failing to lido Lord Luck on its merits in the Waihou Handicap.
