FRENCH DECORATION

AUCKLAND AIRMAN (PA.) WELLINGTON, April 7. Warrant Officer F. J. S. Keenan, Auckland, who is serving with the R.A.F. in India as a wireless operator air-gunner, has been awarded the French Croix de Guerre. Particulars' concerning the award have not yet been received by the Air Department. Warrant Officer Keenan has been serving with an operational Liberator squadron. Aged 23 years, he enlisted with the Royal New Zealand Air Force in April, 1941, and completed his training in Canada. His mother is Mrs. E. L. Keenan, Auckland.
