PRETTY WEDDING
GLEDHILL—THOMSON Belladonna lilies, roses and dahlia' t-o artistically arranged at tho Baptist Church 1 on Saturday, March 3. when Ethel Catherine, daughter of Captain A. Thomson and Mrs. Thomson, Lytton road, was married to Colin Kenneth Gledhil) son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Harries, Waitnngi street. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E. M. Enright, and Mr. H. Dunstan presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked charming in a frock of white brocaded romaine made with a fitting bodice, featuring a heart-shaped neckline, and a full skirt sweeping ,'nto a long train. Her beautiful veil of embroidered tulle was held in place with a top-knot of real flowers and her bouquet was of tiger lilies, roses and dahlias. The bridesmaids were Miss Alexia Thomson, sister of the bride, and Mias Repe Thorne, Wellington. They wore frocks of powder blue eloque, fashioned alike, and head-dresses of pink roses. Their bouquets j ■'"ere composed of mixed flowers in pink and blue tonings. Attending the bride as flower girl was Judith Dudley, who looked most attractive in a. frock of white tucked organdie. She carried a posy of pink and blue flowers. The duties of best man were carried out by Sergeant C. E. Broom, and L.A.C. Russell Bayly acted as groomsman. A reception was held in Le Grand Cafe, Mrs. Thomson, mother of the bride, was wearing a model frock of navy blue crepe with matching accessories. Mrs. Harries wore a blue ensemble with accessories to tone. The bride travelled in a pastel blue model frock worn with a smartly tailored coat and navy accessories. j
