INFORMERS SHOT

MAQUIS TAKES ACTION

_ . RUGBY, Feb. 8. Twenty heavily-armed members of the Maquis raced into the town of Cap and seized 12 Gestapo informers, members of the Vichy militia, from gaol, says the British United Press’ correspondent in Paris. Ten bulletriddled bodies were found on a bridge eight miles away. An attempt later to seize prisoners was warded off with gun-fire. The Maquis in this town three weeks ago burst into a courtroom, seized Jeannette Noret, aged 19 years, and hanged her in the room where she had betrayed the patriots.
