RE-OFENING NEARER CHINESE TAKE WANTING CHUNGKING, Jan. 21. Tlie Central News Agency reports that the Chinese, after a fortnight’s bitter fighting, on Saturday recaptured Wanting, on the Burma Road, the last major obstacle to the reopening of the overland supply route to China
The Tokio radio says: "The Japanese have completely occupied Haiyang, about 60 miles eastward of Canton We can now control the entire Bias Bay region.”
