CHINA’S KUQMINTANG PLANS FOR ASSEMBLY (11.30 a.m.) CHUNGKING, Jan. 8. The Kuomintang Standing Committee has decided to convene a party congress on May 0. It will be the first since Hankow in 1938 and is exiKick'll to discuss iiiTaiiiioniciils for tlio People’s Assembly 'which Marsha Chiang Kai-shek has promised to call before the end of the war to introduce a constitutional Government in China.
